Lawless (2012)
The movie is based off the novel The Wettest County in the World (2008) by Matt Bondurant about his family history. The movie is about three brothers moonshining in Prohibition-era Virginia. It’s a tale reminiscent of Boardwalk Empire (2010), the HBO series which is coming back for season three this fall! Lawless falls into the same old school, feds versus the mob genre as Public Enemies (2009), which stars Johnny Depp and Christian Bale in some killer shootout scenes.
